- What does this mean? Intro
- Hands-on example. (1.5 hr)
- FoldScope - activity: make a microscope and explore with it.
- Additional concepts: Equity in engineering, Access
- Hike for samples.
- Frugal Sciences and Frugal Tools (30 minutes)
- Enable access
- Wild Beasts and Where to Find Them App -> app (down loaded beforehand. )(15 minutes)
- Diagnostic exams, point of care exams
- Mentorship team runs GOOP for presentation following day.
Lunch
12 pm- 1:15 pm Workshop participant share-out displays set up. Bring in bioengineering and biomaterial explorations you have conducted. (optional) We may be referencing these in afternoon workshops, as well.

1:15 pm to 3:15 pm Buttons, Band aids, and Textiles: a workshop in biomaterial design applications and prototyping for circular design (Materials explored: bacterial cellulose and bioplastics with agar and chitin)
